About

Beautiful cherry blossoms in the early spring

Time of Year

The Festival is held the first weekend of May on the riverbank of the beautiful Susquehanna in scenic West Pittston. The time of year is picked to provide a festive spring atmosphere, a spirit and sensation of rebirth, and most importantly, to celebrate the blossoming of the local Cherry Blossoms.

Hudreds of patrons flock to this spot every year to get a taste of the foods, watch a live performance, or buy locally-produced artwork and crafts. Visit our town at the next festival to feel the excitement of the upcoming year, just as our residents have for decades.

Noon to 6:30 PM

Hours

The Festival opens early: vendors start opening around 11:00 AM and the food stand is fully operational at approximately noon. The festivities end at about 6:30 PM on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, the festival opens just after the parade concludes.

The hours chosen by the festival are picked in an effor to make the environment more family-oriented and as free from problems as possible.

Please note that secuirty personnel are on premises after hours to provide security for any vendors that may leave their wares on-site as well as for any Cherry Blossom personnel that may remain overnight.
