Every year, the Festival features an exciting arrangement of bands, performers, and talent competitions. These festivities last from noon into the evening.

Lip Sync Contest

A yearly lip sync contest is held by the Cherry Blossom committee. This contest is for children that have extraordinary talents.

Rules

  • Contestant must be in grades K-7.
  • Two-minute limit on each performance.
  • Registrations must be made by April 20.

There will be no exceptions to these ruls in order to be completely fair to all contestants.

Little Miss Cherry Blossom competition

Little Miss Cherry Blossom

The Little Miss Cherry Blossom contest has become a tradition at the Festival. This is an opportunity for any girl between the ages of four and seven to compete for the title of Little Miss Cherry Blossom. Contestants will ride on a float during the parade.

Rules

  • Contest is open to any girl aged 4-7.
  • Only the first fifteen applicants will be accepted to appear in the contest.
  • Scoring will be based on talent, stage presence, and overall interview.
  • Performances are limited to three minutes.
  • Qualified judges will choose the winner.

Contestants will be notified by phone and given all details. Music is to be provided by contestants, cued and ready to play (CDs and digital media should be property marked with a track number). A 4x6 photo and brief biography of each contestant should be be submitted with the application.

The deadline for entries is April 30.
